They are Beginning to Notice a Change

I have been actively watching my food intake for close to three years. I have not lost a lot of weight quickly. So for the most part people did not notice the first 30 pounds that have come off. That was a really slow process and it came off over a three year period. The last 20+ pounds have come off over the last four months. I had not bought new cloths, I just took in my old clothes. Well last week my friend could not stand it and she bought me new jeans in the correct size, they are four sizes smaller than my other jeans. Well today I wore my new jeans and a new shirt that fit and people at our Church were really shocked to see how much weight has truly come off.

I have been really surprised at how many people now are wanting to be part of our walking group. I am walking at least three times a day. I strive to walk no less than five miles a day. I usually only walk a mile and a half each time I walk. I have really seen an increase in my stamina since I have started. This past week my daughter and I walked 31 1/2 miles. I am really proud of this. Just two months ago I was lucky to walk one mile a week.

Seeing my body change has really become a motivator. Seeing my self in the jeans that fit has been a motivator. It has really helped that my husband has really taken an active part in my daily exercise. This morning my husband, myself and my two children were out of bed and riding bikes on the bike trail by 7 a.m. Riding bikes with my kids at 7 a.m. was amazingly fun. The kids enjoyed it and so did my husband and I. Bike riding a great family activity.
